How long should an average roof last?

All roofs eventually wear out. How quickly depends on several factors, including: slope of the roof, quality of materials, quality of workmanship, attic/roof ventilation and the climate in which you live. We find that the typical roof lasts somewhere, on average, between 15 and 20 years depending upon the above mentioned factors.
